Good luck getting a response. He could have sold it sooner & for a heck of a lot more $$ had he answered PM's or returned a phone call.

Seems like a very nice guy when I talked to him. He is just like everyone else in the world very busy and does not pay attention to this forum. :D

Huntndog-
Did you get Fred bought out? I hope so, because he wanted a new home for the bees and A new beekeeper I am helping mentor had just the place. He did indeed sound like a very nice fellow on the phone and we would have liked to have met him in person. His original equipment list was inaccurate and he was to get back with an accurate list and respond to a counter. Not to offend, but a cardinal rule that a salesperson (like a realtor) must follow, went unheeded. When you have something for sale: check messages and respond... it gets results. Failure to follow the rule cost him time & a few 100$$$.

Yes I did get him bought out. He is a very nice guy. I totally agree response time is very important when you are in sales. I have a very good place for the bees. My son (with dad's help) is getting into the bee business. We call it his college fund!

Just to make you feel better. There was only six hives and wax moths had ate most of the supers. It was still a pretty good deal but not a sweet deal as I hoped. The bees were the meanest dam bees I have ever seen. I got stung at leased 30 to 40 times loading them up. I am not sure why the smoker would not settle them down nor would honey bee healthy. I will see what they are like in a couple of weeks. They were very light for this time of the year.
