I am going in for a heart procedure and will not be able to feed my hives individually this fall. I was wondering if someone could recomend the best type of community feeder that wife could keep full. The feeder would be about 150' away from the hives. I hope it will not cause problems. Thanks!

I would recommend the BEEMAX HIVE TOP FEEDER https://www.dadant.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=616. You can use 2 gal of feed in it. I use them and they work great.

What I call a hog feeder trough. Two boards in the shape of a V with boards nailed to the ends. Seal the cracks with silicone and put straw or large gravel in it for the bees to land on. Better to use rough sawmill lumber than finished. It gives them a better footing. Place it under an open shed or make some kind of a roof to keep the rain out.
