Just checked my hives and on my strongest of the two there are about 5 frames full of capped brood with good pattern, but hardly any nectar. Do I need to feed or what, I am getting discouraged :( cause the other hive is no doubt queenless no eggs nothing. Should I just let them go through summer and see what happens or what?? Any adivce appreciated.

give the queenless hive a frame of brood from the other and yes, feed 1/1 syrup. good luck, mike

I agree with Mike. Get a top hive feeder that you can put 2 gal of feed in, that way you will not have to check it every day.

Make it open brood and eggs so they can make a queen. Capped brood is too old.

Fresh, open brood is the way to go. Feed them as well. You'll be OK.
