How does one go about this? I let the bees clean up the two metal screens that I use to filter the "stuff" out of the spring honey. Finally, I got around to cleaning the screens but the sun seems to have melted the wax into the teeny tiny spaces in the screens (both the course and the fine). I scraped and soaked with hot soapy water and that did help some but not enough. What's the trick? Is it useless? Do I need to order new ones? Thanks!

Clean wax off with COLD water, clean honey off with HOT water. At this point you will have to boil it several times to remove wax.
Good Luck

Ah... I knew there was a trick. What if I put it in the freezer?
Maybe freeze it and then wire brush it, see if the wax will chip out and off that way. Might have to boil it submerged in water.

Hot pressure washer, or very hot water from a nozzle.

If they will fit in the oven set them upside down on a baking sheet covered with paper towel, set the oven on warm. It will get warm enough to melt the wax but not burn the paper.
