I have two hives that consist of one deep and one medium super. The deeps are almost full of brood, honey, and pollen. One medium super in one of the hives has honey in two frames. The medium super in the other hive is still empty. My question, when do I add another deep onto the exsisting deep in each hive?

If the deeps are nearly full of brood and stores, then you should add another deep above them now. I typically hive a package in a deep, then when the first deep is nearly full, I add another deep. Only when the second deep is nearly full do I add a super. Often, it doesn't get that far in the first year. If the bees aren't filling the medium though, they may not work the deep. Keep an eye on them.

Before adding the medium.

If they are not making wax, you may need to feed to stimulate them to draw the frames out.
