Plastic (450 of 600 are plastic); cheaper and most important, LIGHTER!

I like the metal ones to use as racks to support feeding with inverted metal cans and to place pollen supplement patties on, but I like the plastic ones best for use as queen excluders/includers.
I noticed that those who sell the plastic ones for 8-frame or 10-frame, charge the same price. Silly me, I purchased the 8-frame ones, in retrospect I should have purchased the 10-frame ones, then used them, as is, with the extra area, or trimmed them myself. I can think of several uses for the trimmings.
