what am i doing wrong? for some reason i'm having a hard time getting 3/4 cup honey to disolve in 1/2 gallon kool-aid. is it my honey? its not crystalized. anyone know a trick? thanks, mike

You'll need to add some heat. Honey just doesn't like to dissolve cold.
In fact, I tried to add it to a smoothy once and it just hardened and spun around the blender blade without incorporating into the drink.:mad:

My father-in-law uses my honey in his coffee all the time with no problems. I bet its a temperature thing!!!
I tried honey in my coffee and cant say I cared for it... I do use sugar though...
I'd bet if you made the kool-aid with warm to hot water and than cooled it it would work.
Maybe Chef Issac can comment on this culinary masterpiece! ;-)
I bet he'd know better than me.

I heat it up then pour it on vanilla ice cream where it hardens again. Umm thats good.

It is best if you mix up all the lemonade... say a gallon for example. Take a quart out and heat it up to a boil. Add the honey, turn the heat off, and make sure honey is dissolved. Pour this hot mixture into the other mixture and cool.
This will work perfectly.
