Took a hive of bees from an underground water meter yesterday.Lots of comb, lots of bees, lots of honey, at least 100 drones, but no brood, not even polen. I just put all the comb in to the box and will have to go thru it to see if there is a queen. I suspect that for some reason she left or was killed. No brood, I mean none. This hive was doomed. I should have a queen by the end of the week. Anyone seen this before?
