Boston/Providence Area Fishing Charter

Anyone have any first-hand knowledge of fishing charters in the Boston/Providence area? I'm there for a few days end of May/beginning of June. Or a sailing day trip would be nice.

Joanne and I just happen to be going whale watching on May 31st,
leaving the New England Aquarium (Boston Waterfront) at 2:00pm.

I don't think you can do any fishing on that sort of trip, but
they do guarantee that we will see some whales.

For charters, you want to go up ta Gloucester.
Type "gloucester charter fishing" into google.

And repeat after me: "Ba-Ha-Ba" is the town on the Island of Acadia in Maine,
and "Bawstan" is the large city in Mass.

i haven't gone in years, but used to go on party boats out of plum island (about an hour north of boston).

let us know when you are going to be here, maybe we can join you :) (we are swamped, no i can't guarantee anything)

are you looking for a "party boat" (with lots of people, and relatively cheap), or to charter a small boat (more $$$)?

I'm looking for something to keep me amused and entertained for a day. Something that I can't do around here, which means something involving saltwater. Or civilization. I'm in town to visit my son, and have everything set, including the "cah".

Thanks. I booked a boat and a captain for 1/2 day out of Pawtucket. I've never really fished saltwater before. I don't think dragging a lure behind a motoring sailboat counts for much. I know it didn't catch much. Gonna be fun.

...sounds great barry, you will have fun. i must say that i'm also mostly a freshwater fishing person, but ocean is fun sometimes :)
