Carni/Italian???

Well gang I sure am enjoying my girls, When I first got them I got 2 packages of Carnis, But were very light in color and was told that the queen was a Carni and the workers were whatever the bee source shook.

The Nuc I just got were Italian, but they are very dark bees, almost what I would call a black bee, (although I dont know much) and they are by far outworking my other 2 hives.
Sooo I dont know what I have, but the darker bees are first to rise and last to bed....

So arent the Italians supposed to be lighter lighter then Carnis?

I dont know what kind of bees I have...... But I like my girls.

In theory the Italians are "yellow" (actually brown) and the Carnis are black. In reality they are all mixed up anyway.
