Today is finally turning sunny. Even though it has only been eight days since my last inspection, I had to check on something. The last time I was in the hive I had stacked the frames a little more to the right than the left. Wasn't as bad as I thought, but still a good thing I checked anyway. I have no idea which queen won, but I didn't care as I saw capped over brood on 4 frames. I can see by the nesting area that they are putting the honey at the top and the egg pattern is not nearly as nice as I would like. Roughly 1"x3" on the inner frames of the brood nest. 75% capped over in the pattern. The outer 2 frames of the brood nest they are definitely storing honey. These cold nights probably are not helping. All in all looked like a healthy hive. Took me about 8 minutes to go through the hive. 3 frames show no activity yet, but it is still early. They were only hived the 1st of May. Thankfully, I remembered to bring the hive tool along as they had propolised the frames together, not to mention the inner cover.
