Morel mushroom pickin

Today was perfect, this morning I went to my favorite site to look for mushrooms, and was pleasantly surprised to find a grand total of (36) thirty six morels. That is good for me as I mostly find a lot less.
The morels were fried up with onions and heaped on grilled venison steak for supper, still have some left for tomorrow. Is anyone else having a good morel year?

been pickin for a little over a week here in eastern IA. Its been a weird spring on and off cold and lots of rain. it frosted here 3 days ago. I've got about 5 lbs in the fridge and have eaten a bunch.
I love them sauted over steak,beef or venison. My favorite is to dip them in milk and egg then cracker crumbs and fry in butter!

Found about 40 here this evening. Very small but still great!! Turning cold tomorrow so this might be it for the year.
