I have caught several swarms already this year.I was wondering if thier would be an advantage in feeding Fumagilin-B to treat for the two types of Nosema we now have? All my hives have screen bottomboards and I have been treating with powder sugar for the past three years and so far very little loses.I treat my hives with Fumagilin-B both spring and fall and would sure hate to bring something like that in to my bee yard that might infect my nuc!s that haven!t been treated.Like to have your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

one symptom of nosema is poor bee population build-up in spring. if bees are building up enough to swarm, it seems to me they are in pretty good shape.

I!m sorry, I didn!t explain that the swarms I!ve caught are not from my bee yard. All were 10 to 12 miles away and one was on top of a 3 story building. The things we go through for bees!

I thought they were likely from other places besides your operation. Whether they are from other colonies or from feral hives it still seems to me that they'd be in pretty healthy shape if they are building up quickly enough to issue swarms.
