strange day

Driving home from work today when my van got assaulted by what i thought was gravel but instead turned out that i drove thru a swarm crossing the highway,, had dead bee's and splatter all over me :eek: when i got got home found a swarm in my swarm trap 9 ft up in apple tree :D , sad and happy day all in one.

Perhaps one of those "Bee Crossing" signs would be appropriate along that section of the highway? Glad you caught a swarm! And...by the way...we all know you wouldn't run over bees on purpose!

they seem to be italians, just wondering if they came from the same feral hive my original swarm i captured 3 years ago came from, i live in town and i know there's no beek's anywhere near me.
And no i'd never run em over on purpose, freaked me out bad, especially when the one hit me in the chest and splatterd everywhere.Almost turned around to see if i could follow em, but knew they'd be long gone, hope i didnt get the queen.Yikes
