My first bee package is due to arrive in the mail Monday, May 5. The apiary where they are coming from just sent me instructions on installing the package, but these instructions assume I have a Langstroth hive. Can anyone give me some advice or a good link on installation for a TBH? I appreciate any help I can get.

DennisBeek. I can send you video on CD if you will give me your Postal address on Private. Charge fee, of course, as for Chicagoan. If you are on north-west of Chicago I can drop it to your place. I think that this will help you not only in installing a new packet.

Thank you Derek and Woytek,
I appreciate the help very much.
Woytek, I sent you a private message about your video. I would need to view it by Sunday night as the bees will be here on Monday. Please read my message to you.
Thanks again.

There is en error in my former post. I meant “free” instead of “fee”.
Sorry.

I just took the screen off the side of package after spraying them with plain water so they could not fly very well then dumped them in. Since the queen had been in the cage with the package I took the cork out and set the cage on the bees she came right out and burrowed right in the bees. This was 15 days ago and I checked on them today and there is 8 combs almost finished and half a comb they are working on and a couple they have small peices of comb on. I'm not sure if that was the best way to release them but it has seemed to work. Oh there are alot of eggs and larva in all that comb. Hope you do well with your hive also.:D
