We've Got LARVE. Went tonight did a nice full inspection. Well I thought. I went though the whole hive and saw lots of stored syrup, pollan, ect.. but no eggs or larve. Started to get worried and rush home and post MY QUEENS NOT LAYING! But I decided to take one more look at the most drawn out bars. This time when pulled the bar i gave them some smoke to spread them out. And BOOM! LARVE! :) And bunches of it. And then saw about 10-15 caped brood. That was the only bar i pulled on the second look. I closed it up after that and let them bee.
Lesson to newbees (me included). Look very close. My comb is very white. And white on white its tuff to determine what you are seeing.
Also, I checked my gallon feeder. I put it 4 days ago and the took maybe 1/4-1/2 of it in 4 days. So I left it. When I go back on an Sunday if there is still some in it. Should I just pull it and stop feeding?
