A co-worker went to Hawaii for a company trip. I shared the varroa story about honey bees with him and explained how Hawaii doesn't have (just now getting) varroa mites. I asked him to be conciencise of honeybees for me, just to feed my passing curiousity of Hawaii honey bees. He sent me this photo of an actual Hawaii honeybee. (Pollen and all)!!! If he leaves his current line of work, he'd be an awsome photographer!!! Please post comments, as I will be sharing this link with Brian, the "not-so amateur" photographer!
(Sorry the photo is so large, but couldn't do it justice without being large)!

That is what I call a fantastic photo. Brilliant.
I can see why the photo is so large because it needed the flower head to show the pollen, and also to show the pollen on the bee.
It reminded me of this;

Nice photo of a moving bee! It's big enough, so I just made it my desktop wallpaper.

I guess that is a Hawaiian honeybee because my Texas bees won't touch tropical hibiscus.
