I am going to pick up my bees tomorrow and going to bring them home its suppose to be in the lower fiftys and raining off and on so loading my new TB hive with it's new occupants will have to wait till saturday. The wether is suppose to be in the 70's. Sure am getting ansie. Two packages go in langs and one in the TB. Wonder how the wife is going to take three pakages moving in for the night.:D

Im fired up too. Mine shipped today. Should be here tomorrow. Just made a nice mess in the kitchen making syrup. Im ready to go.

Just picked mine up at the post office. Installing tonight! Should I mist the w/ syrup right now and at install?

I'm a newbee here, so I'll let the learned give the advice...I would like to say , though, that it quite refreshing to read of such eagerness and enthusiasm from you both in regards to the bee-bizz----I gotta get of my tail and be as go , go, go as you guys are. :)

Check the cans of syrup in the packages to see if they still have syrup if so maybe just spray some water to give them a drink. At install you could spray with syrup this should distract them for a while. I just sprayed them with plane water in the package so they wouldn't fly so much.I then took the screens off and with one firm thump and all the bees were in and then released the queens they had been in the packages 4-5 days and figured if they didn't like the queens by now they never would.
