My posting days have pretty much ground to a halt, but couldn't pass the opportunity to show off my new OB hive. It's been a six month project off and on, mostly off. Finally forked up the bucks for the tempered glass ($92!!!).

Four deep frames, since that is the standard size in my small apiary. The glass is held in using mirror holders. The glass spacing is 1 3/4".

The masonite panels slide in on grooved guides. The handles are former kitchen cabinet types.

The top hinge is threaded pipe screwed into a flange. It's easy to screw in and out when taking the hive down and allows for easy rotation of the hive.
