Just finished a program here at the house. The porch is a nice spot to talk so folks get close but do not get stung. We go over the basics for a while and when the interest starts to wane we bring out the live ones. Keep the obs hive inside.

I just did a cut-out in a garage this morning. The lady kept her 9 and 11 y/o daughters home from school to watch and take photos. I carried extra veils for them to wear. We had a little classroom instruction for them, too. It's really enjoyable to work with the young ones.

Iddee: They probobly learned more in the time with you then they would at that day in school. Seems like, at least in Washington State, money cutbacks=less field trips.

I have a presentation before a high school FFA group and then at a home school student gathering coming up in May. The home school kids are far different than public school kids when it comes to hands on and asking questions. I sure do like the screened porch - keeps the audience at a safe disance yet they have up close visibility.
