I captured a feral swarm about four weeks ago and placed them in a nuc.
Well yesterday I moved them to a deep super since they had drawn and filled all frames with the exception of a side of one. The brood on the frames is amazing (80%). This feral queen is quite a prolific layer and the hive is very calm.
This has been a very nice and unexpected surprise. I have been keeping them furnished with 2:1 syrup with a splash of wintergreen.
