a lot nicer to watch it on the big screen instead of a little window on a PC

It was a re run of the October 2007 airing. But what was added at the very end was that they had contacten David Hackinburg while he was working on hives in almonds and they were told he has lost hives again this year 2007-8 at over 50 percent.

"over 50 percent" of what? 50 % of the highest number of colonies that he had in '07?

They didn't mention a hive count, so we "assume" 50% of the number of hives he had in 2007:).

I had not heard that CCD was posing a widespread problem again this winter.

Is this problem unique to Dave Hackenburg, or are many other seeing this too?

The thread says, "breaking story on 60 minus NOW"

Gee, I dont know what the rest of you saw but what I saw was a

RE-RUN SIX MONTHS OLD!

It must be a slow news day when prime time TV runs a bee story six months old and is a re-run.

According to a Bee-L source it's 50% of '07 colonies AND 50% of what was put into almonds. WOW, what a hit!

I still don't know what those black boxes with the stove pipes were.

Hey Sarge, those were fume boards, the 90 degree stove pipe is when the wind is blowing you point the pipe into the wind for a TURBO FUME BOARD. :)

The stove pipes were the working end of a breeze board.

They are ideal in the plains states, where the wind is more
constant than the sun.
