I especially like The modified rubbermaid coolers for nucs:D in the modern hive section, polyestrene nucs. These nucs look like the bees would overwinter well in them.

It looks like you would have an inch or two of brace comb on top of the frames pretty quick in my area . Maybe needs a plate screwed to the inside of the lid to reduce the space.
