SCIENCE article on CCD

My brother is a Professor of Genetics and in looking at this month's SCIENCE journal came across an article on CCD. He sent it to me in PDF format. It is very technical but seems to draw the same conclusions that are being desimininated in the various bee mags. The one new (to me) bit of information that I gleened was that Varroa Destructor causes immunosupression in bees.

I wonder if any studies have been done on the levels of Varroa present at the time of colony collapse. The article can be accessed at www.sciencemag.org. It will cost $10 dollars to view the article.

I would think that this is no large surprise since any number of parasites seem capable of fooling the host. It would be worthwhile to get your brothers impression on this capacity.
