This year I drew the short straw at the California State Beekeepers Association (CSBA) convention and am now responsible for the website. The previous person responsible for the site did a great job getting it established but it is probably time to update it some more. I was hoping I could get some feedback from members of this forum on things you would like to see on the website.
One thing I would like to do is post all the previous research the CSBA has funded for the past 10+ years in a searchable PDF format. I was also considering establishing a classified section and possible message board. At this point just ideas. If anyone is interested I would greatley appreciate any feedback good and bad on ideas for the website.
This is my first post! :D

Those sound like good additions for starters, It would be nice to be able to have an honest report of the state of the bees and almond pollination so we could all stay in one accord on everything concerning them during this time of the year.
For us "outsiders" honest information is elusive to say the least. Maybe a list for the county inspectors and there contact information, inspection station contact informaition.I would guess your members would disagree with some of this ,but you asked for ideas...

Contact information for inspectors and inspection stations are good recommendations. In terms of information regarding almond pollination, the CSBA does track pollination prices and come out with a report annually. Maybe a monthly blog written by various people such a Joe Traynor during the fall / winter months would be appropriate?
Keith good to hear from you! I will definitely tell my dad and uncle that you said hi.

Hello Matt.
I would like to see some advance (when possible) info relating to bloom time and quality in various locations (oranges by zone, sage by moisture availability, etc. Maybe those in the know for this would like to keep their secrets, but it would sure help planning for me and probably others.
Also, I would like to see an ongoing info report for things like pollination pricing (we get some of that here) and the clemintine battle, etc. Just good news of what is going on in the state.
Thanks so much.
