Red Florecent Light

I have seen some operations for queen rearing that, when making up mating nucs, they shake bees in a box, take them in the garage, turn on a red florecent light and stock the mating nucs in there.

anyone do this?

Red lights are great for working bees in the dark if that is hat you are asking. They will not fly towards red light and you can go about your business almost unnoticed.
