I like raising Queens but my wife still wants me to to put extra hives out just for honey, she loves eating and selling it, I have been thinking of maybe getting a uncapper one day, the thing is they are so expensive, I was looking and the THE SIDELINER UNCAPPER and was wondering if anyone has bought one and what do you think about it?

Uh, yeah..."at a price you can afford."

Really? I wonder what the shipping on this beast will be.

Here's some thoughts from others dealing with this uncapper, but nobody has used one that I know of.

How much uncapping are you talking about? I used to do a ton and more a year with a hot knife. Selling honey if fine but you don't make a profit until you have sold more than your expenses, not to mention your time.

You guys are looking at it from the totally wrong perspective!

Ted's buying it, she's using it, maybe Ted's using it? She sells it and she's seeing pure profits! While Ted, well Ted's left holding the bag and footing the bill...... Poor sucker :(

Hey Buddy! How bout order two and send me one!! :):):)

Look in the FLA, GA, and ALA Farm market papers. Occaisionally one is for sale in those papers. Ask around at Bee meetings, someone might know somone etc.. who has one for sale.

Are you using this term in a way that is different than what I know it to mean? You sure won't find it listed under terms of endearment.

You can find a used uncapper probablly by just looking. I bought a used cowan for $500.00.
