Hi everyone. The Indiana State Beekeepers Association will be having our fall meeting on October 27th in Danville, IN at the hendricks county fairgrounds. The meeting will have 3 guest speakers.
Don Downs - will be speaking on the medicinal value of beekeeping
Tammy Horn - will be speaking on women in beekeeping and the history of the honeybee
Phil Craft - will speak on intergrated pest management

In conjuction with our fall meeting we will also be hosting a beekeeping school on October 26th & 27th at the Hendricks County fairgrounds.
Class will be from 6:00pm - 9:00pm on Friday the 26th
and from 9:00am - 3:00pm on Saturday the 27th
Registration is $45 and includes a one-year membership to the ISBA. The school will cover everything from hive placement, to life inside the hive, to honey production and extraction and much, much more. There will be observation hives and standard hives on site (weather permitting) as well as beekeeping equipment for demonstration purposes and vendors who can supply all your beekeeping needs. The ISBA Beekeeping School is a comprehensive beginners program that will offer continuing support though the www.indianastatebeekeepers.org web site as well as field clinics and programs for beginners at future ISBA meetings. This program will offer the most updated and relevant information on how to maintain strong healthy colonies. If you are interested in keeping honeybees or if you are just interested in learning more about this amazing creature, this school is for you.
