I see this in ABJ. Anyone use it yet or any opinions?

I have been wondering what the point is? Maybe I am missing something?

I fail to see the advantage over any other hair curler cage. Maybe it's just the convenience of the nursery cage also being the introduction cage that they are selling.

The premise from reading the description was that colonies accepting queen cells need to be low in numbers to accept adequetly, but then, beacause of this low population, the Small Hive Beetle will overtake the "weak" colony. ????????

If you have a Small Hive Beetle infestation that heavy, maybe queen rearing shouldn't be on your agenda? Ceratinly, using these cages wouldn't help much.

Anyway, for banking virgins in an Instrumental Insemination scenario, one needs to have the virgins touched and attended to by workers for at least 7-10 days. These cages from the pics, don't look like they allow that. So for virgin banking, I'd not choose to use them.

caveat emptor.
