The primary goldenrod finally came out and the bees are really going to town. This is an entrance to a 5 frame nuc. The white stuff you see on the entrance is paper towels that were shredded by the bees.

Looks a lot like the sumac pollen my girls are bringing in right now.

I just noticed that the bee in the middle of the sumac photo appears to have a varroa mite right at the point where her wing is attached to her thorax.
