don't really know the kind of frames you might be extracting but especially with newer comb (and a tangential extractor) you will need to flip the frames at least twice... place with one side out and (gently now) extract half the honey on the first side, flip and extract one half to all the honey from side two, flip and extract the remaining honey from side one.
hope that helps..

Wired foundation that is also crosswired extracts best. Do as Tec says above and look at each one as it comes out and adjust your speed accordingly. Many slow turns work much better than a few fast ones.

wjw777, start and increas speed slowly intill honey starts to fly, matain that speed for about one minuit or so, then stop and turn frames over and maintain speed at which honey starts to fly again for three or so minutes, stop and do first sides for two or so minutes untill done. After you crank out a ton or so you will get the hang of it.

Back in the Olden days, when I was doing extracting, we had a motorized, tangential extractor with gears to turn the frames around. We judged when to turn by the sound. When it first got up to speed you could really hear the honey hitting the side of the tank. When the sound just began to change, we'd hit the handle to rotate the frames and we'd let that one go until the sound dropped off noticeably before going back to the first side. One final pass on each side to get them as dry as possible and we were done with those frames. Once I got the hang of it, I don't think I ever broke a comb.
