Is there a certain time of day when these release their nectar? I don't get home until 6:30 or later and never see my girls on them. Maybe it is too late.

Also, is anyone aware if the White Flowered Leafcup produces nectar that the bees like? I have a lot of it blooming.

I think Jewelweed is a morning producer. It has been too dry here for them to flower or make nectar this year.

The White Flowered Leafcup is good for honeybees. They do get a fair amount of nectar from it. It is a rare plant in the east and has federal protection in some states.

Wow, everything I ever wanted to know about them & then some. Thank you so much. I can't believe someone could write that much about one plant. I am really enjoying learning about all the wildflowers and I have a book on the ones in Indiana. I'll run down to the edge of the woods in the morning and see if the bees are worknig the jewelweed.
