If a new queen is added to a nuc with queen cells starting to form should I remove the new cells before adding the queen cage?

a virgin queen will tear down capped cells, a mated laying queen usually will not. if the queen you introduce don't tear them down, you will need to. i would look into the nuc seven days after making the nuc and tear out any cells that are there if was to introduce a queen. at seven days you should have some capped and some that are not. if you already introduced a queen in there by then, and she has been accepted, they shouldn't start any more cells.
