Of the two you mention, I would go with the beeswax coated plasticell in wooden frames. They have them preassembled.

I like wood frames plastic foundation. I've used mostly pierco but have seen good results with other types.

I HAVE NOT had good luck with the EZ frames. Most I had to brush a heavy coat of beeswax onto them to get them drawn out.

Thanks for all your help. I think next year I will try the Mike Bush small cell or the perma cell try one hive to see how they work. I just wish that they would spray the per-comb with with wax. But I am taking mikes suggestion on useing a mediam or small suppers. to old to hurt my back

Well thanks agian got to go and get my frames

You could also use the Mann Lake pf 100 or 120, which has the added advantage of already being sc:).

peggjam - are you using them? Like 'em?

I guess I am old fashioned which is why I have stuck with wedge top frames and crimp-wired foundation, which I like. I also do my best to stay away from as much plastic anything as possible. I have read so many negative things associated with plastics used with food and cancer...and it seems like so many I know are getting it... I prefer to bottle in glass also. That's the nice thing in life, so many personal choices.

Yes I am using them, and haven't had any problems with the girls drawing them out. Make sure you ask for the old style if you plan on getting any. Once they are out of stock they are gone, as they have redone the mold for these frames, and I am not sure that the cell size will still be small cell.:)

I like'em:). And they are priced right.

If you care about cell size, and want plastic, I'm having good luck with the PF120s from Mann Lake (or PF100s if you want deeps).

If you care about cell size and want wax, I'd buy the 4.9mm wax.

If you don't care about cell size, buy whatever you like. :)
