Is there any way the author of a thread can delete it. Say a topic is pretty much expired and the author has his questions answered, but it's still sitting on the forum. Is there any way the author can delete the thread or do we have to wait for an administrator to take if off.
Just curious.

I'd like to see such threads remain up, because you may not be the only one that had your question. When I first started learning about beekeeping, I went back and read almost every thread on this entire forum. If after a question had been answered threads were deleted, I would have missed out on a lot of good information.
My vote is to keep the threads.

Moderators are the only ones who can delete threads. They don't get deleted unless they violate the unwritten-but-commonly-understood rules. It would be impractical to try to delete inactive threads manually, and as Jack noted, they're still valuable to others.
