Hey Jeannie,
I was in Earthfare on Sunday after our bee class. I asked the girl who works the Essential Oil section for some Thyme EO, because the only bottle they had was their tester sample. After she found out what it was for, she gave it to me for FREE, :)
Anyway, most EO's can be purchased at most health food stores. However, they are really pricey, over-rated in quality, yadda yadda. I would NEVER pay $25.00 for Aura Cacia's 1 oz. bottle of Lavender, when Brushy Mountain has it for $5.35. I actually gave someone a bottle who was into her Lavender EO for Aromatherapy purposes. She said BM's was the BEST EO of Lavender she ever had. I've given her over 10 bottles in the past year. Brushy Mountain has nice EO's at a great price, but they don't carry Thyme. You'll have to get that one from another source..I lucked up the other day.
As for the other stuff, FGMO?? I have no clue. MO = Mineral Oil can be bought at any drug store. What does FG mean??

i'm no expert, but the Mineral Oil at the drug store is probably the right stuff. The Evil Empire(wal-mart) carries it in the pharmacy dept.

Matt,
You're pretty funny. As much as I despise and hate Wal-mart and wish they would simply vanish and disappear.....I'm almost pretty sure the Mineral Oil that is sold in their pharmacy is the exact same MO sold in any drug store. And of course you get the Wal-mart discount if you do....:D
I'll pay more at the local drug store just because I don't like Wal-mart cause they lied and said that everything was MADE IN THE USA....last time I went in there, everything was MADE IN CHINA. :D :D

You can buy FGMO from this co. by the Gal. (if you don`t mind paying the Big Brown truck) with shiping you can get it from the local drug store for about the same price.
Oops for got to post the web site.

I just bought some at Ingles...definitely food grade because it says its an effective intestinal lubricant for use in the treatment of constipation. I hope it doesn't cause diarhea to the bees, YIKES!! Does it matter if its extry heavy??? :D

When I first got into beekeeping there was a Dr. MD type (president of the club) and he said they slouldnt bee constipated :D
Some of us put a thin line of MO on the top bars and the bees dont put near as much burr comb on them plus if mites walk in it, it should do them in!!
I never seen any that said "extra heavy"

Be very cautious of essential oils. For thymol the use of
pure crystal thymol is the best and most used option.
Iddee on this board handles high quality thymol crystal
for a more than fair price.
