I have what I call "Ruby Red" honey - held up to the light it is about the color of a glass of red wine. (and delicious)
I'd love to trade with anyone who is interested. I'm amazed at how different the flavors are from different areas.
I traded some with Longarm - his honeys are wonderful, especially the Rabbitweed (for those of you interested in Pacific Northwest honey)

What plant(s) would that e from?

I don't know exactly - it is the mid summer honey which around here is "wildflower".
I'm guessing from the time of year and the complex flavor that primary forage must be in the mint family.
In our area it is usually Japaneese Bamboo (knotweed)mixed in with other lighter summer honey's such as clover, teasel, thistle and such. It has a very deep, rich, heady flavor.

I would trade orange blossom - 5 or 10 lbs in 5 lb jugs. Will ship priority.

Maine beekeeper, I would like to try some "Ruby Red." I have orange, N.Dakota sweet clover (water white) and some foothills manzanita, wildflower from below Sequioa National Park. Let me know. Oh, how much is blueberry pollination going for? I'm sure that's probably your bread and butter.

MadBowbee -
I'm a hobbyist - only 11 colonies and I have not explored the blueberry polination yet. I don't know what the prices are. Mostly I'm not big enough for the big fields and I have to admit I'm nervous about sending my colonies up near to all of those colonies "from away" and whatever they might bring with them...
I'm thinking about maybe sending a few colonies to a local apple orchard but that's just thinking so far... baby steps.
