What are you using for a mouse guard and/or entrance reducer on your tbh's? The friend who built my hives made the entrances oval, so I can't just pop a piece of wood in very easily. It's getting chilly here, so I think I should soon prevent the mice from moving into my hives...

1/4 inch hardware cloth. Works great. My entrances are small so I don't really reduce them but if I need to duct tape works great under the hardware cloth.

1/4 inch (#4) hardware cloth is what I sued before I went to the top entrances. It works fine. You definitely want to put the mouse guards on BEFORE the mice move in.
