put 3/8" spacers on the sides, like the spacers on the ends of a tbh. a lang super is a box a tbh is a box they both work. mixing lang frames and top bars also works.

no. However, once cut, attachments often are not rebuilt.(eventually)

They don't attached them solidly to the sides. The attachments are easily cut when removing a comb. They often are not rebuilt.

it apears to me that top bars dont have spaces between them when you look at them from the top when they are in the box. am i seeing this correctly? doesnt this reduce air circulation?

No, its the ceiling, the bees build comb and move air just as they like....its similar to being in a feral state where there is no beekeeper at all to tell them they need more circulation. smile.gif

Just like any natural hive, there are no spaces at the top between the combs.

It doesn't seem to hurt it. The bees seem to thrive in them.
