I just put my three pound pack of bees and queen in the new hive, I had trouble with the queen cage, so I held the cage in the hive and pryed the staple out of one end and bent the screen back enough for her and the few bees that were with her in the cage to crawl out. They didn't crawl out so I layed the cage on the hive floor. Any guess on when I can remove the queen cage from the hive?

In about two minutes they will be out of the cage with the screen pulled back. I'm surprised they didn't fly out immediatly.
Five minutes at the most. Take it out when you get the chance.

Thanks Mike, they didn't act very eager to get out of the cage. I will go remove it now it has been over an hour now.
