Chat Room Face Lift

Raidersoft has updated the chat room, giving it a new look. It may take a few more seconds to load since it is new. I also found that I had to put an underscore between the space in my name. Normally, I would use Billy Bob, but now I have to use Billy_Bob. Other than that, everything else is the same except for a few new buttons and it is more user friendly now.

If you’re having problems loading the page, make sure you have the latest Java software.

Also…as I’ve learned from past experiences make sure you’re logging onto the right page.

If this doesn’t help let me know, I’m sure we’ll come up with something. Also tell me if it is the page that will not load or if it is your user name that isn’t working.

I can tell you that several members have logged in already and that’s why I’m thinking the problem is on your side.

Ok, here’s what you need to do if you are having problems loading or logging into the chat room.

To fix it you need to go to the Java web site and download the latest version of Java (5.0 update 9). When you pull the site up it’s the only “Begin Download” link on the page.

After you download the update, you will need to restart your pc.

Also, when you log in make sure you use a underscore inbetween any spaces in your login name.

It means you have no class, Moose.......Duh!!!! LOL

I have gotten on now with IE7, Firefox both on WindowsXp and with Firefox on Fedora Core 5. Works like a champ on all. A vast improvement for the Linux box actually. Thanks for the upgrade. Nice!

But..... :( it did take a while for the initial load on all browsers and platforms. I'm on DSL, so I would imagine it will be somewhat bothersome for the folks on dial-up the first time out.

We'll be waiting for you though!!!

I am locked out[help] tried to down loadjava 2 times still can't get in===Don haveing with drawl signs now :( :mad: :D ;)

It took me awhile to go download/upgrade my java program...have you tried deleting your java off and then re-installing?

I have noticed that it takes awhile for the chatroom entry page to download when I try to go into chat, others say that too.

I tried to delete it several times.it downloaded 3 different times. something I done to the computer messed up it. I sure fell stupid on the computer and sure miss chatting might have to buy new computer to chat on or use a can with a string on it.
