Hi, I just joined this forum, and I need info, My situation is thus, I inherited equipment from a friend who had lost his bees, he has given me boxes that were partially full of honey and dead bees We live in Minnesota, and he thinks they froze last winter. anyhow, I have cleaned out the boxes and most of the frames, and ordered more bees. My question is, would it be wise to leave a couple of frames which are still full of clean honey for my new bees to feed on, or should I clean them too, and feed my new bees syrup? If I leave the combs in them, should they be placed in the center of the box, where I install my new bees, or should I put them to the outer sides? any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Bud
