Slung honey

Can anyone enlighten me as to what this is? I was talking with someone yesterday who insisted that the beekeeper they get their honey from slings their honey, and bits of the comb come out in it.
This is confusing as honey is slung anyway when put into a extracter.

I think I've heard some contraption described where the comb is in a container that is swung around in a circle by someone and this acts as an extractor of sorts. That's my only guess.
