This, of course, isn't TRUE Housel positioning, but I thought it intersting. I got a document from my local bee supplier on how to get acceptance of Pierco frames and one part of that document says:
"Position frames so the Y in the bottom of the cells are inverted compared to the frame facing them. The Y is open at the top on one and at the bottom on the facing cell. A symptom seen when this is not followed is a parallel comb built alongside the foundation rahter than on the actual foundation sheet"
