Have not had bees in my hives for the past few years. Want to know how to best prepare the interiors for reuse...heard something about burning or smoking the supers?

If your hives were diesease free, specifically AFB, then just blow the dust off, slap on some paint on the outside, and have at it. No need to scorch them.

I'm with Sundance. Unless you think you had AFB I wouldn't do anything.
