I supose you could drill your own holes or there are suppliers that sell a Stainless Screen that can be used to make feeders "Lapps" in Wisconson sells 2 different sizes.

Hello Bob
I am making one gallon plastic feeder pails, bought the pails , screen and filler caps from manitoba honey co op.
I melt the screen into the lid after I drill a 13/8" hole , using a propane torch.
The filling holes are closed with 1" plastc pipe caps.

Personally not had good luck with the round feeder plugs I tried.

No fault of the feeder plugs but the whole problem of keeping plastic pails from leaking, especially when you first invert them and then with every temperature cycle. Brought the ants out in full force.

I just drill holes, about 3/64" to 1/16". I usually drill a dozen or so.

I took a cut out piece of plywood I had from Nuc Jar feeders and pounded a couple dozen frame nails through the plywood.

I then place it in the center of the lid and give it some luv taps. This quickly puts the holes in the lids.

Works for me.

Tried the screen with not too much luck.
