Does any one have a source for 2 or 3 gallon pails with lids (other than bakeries where I have been getting them)

I'd like to get a couple of hundred uniform buckets so I can palletize them.

Thanks as usual ;)

Home Depot paint department. They sell 2 gallon buckets and lids, sold separately.

Home Depots aren't food grade. Go to Taco Bell or Taco time. I've gotten 3 gal with lids, kinda tinted red from their sauce but a good washing cleaned the worst part up (use baking soda and salt paste helps remove oder also) best part of it was they were free. You might try any of the "fast food" places. Alot of times they just are going to throw them out.

I appreciate your input and I have gotten a few dozen pails from bakeries and such.

What I need is a source from someone who manufactures them and can get 200 to 300 at a time for a good deal.

Food grade of course and metal handles only.

Home Depots aren't food grade. I'm not so sure of that. They are white, HDPE. They are new and unused. The only other question is whether or not they used recycled HPDE in the manufacture. 99% of the undyed (white) plastic buckets are food grade.

I shoulda said, from what I've been told, they're not food grade.

As long as the plastic buckets have not had any chemicals in them ,then they are ok for the bees.
