This is by far the best suit! Its very light yet sturdy and durable. Also very inexpensive. I got one and I am very impressed!

Why???? Look like coveralls from Australia to me.

You dont get hot, and they are large enough to wear them on top of your clothes if you need to.
I also like this carbon type material that is very tough, but very light as well.

Dimis,
Reminds me of my one and only bee suit I ever used. I had a swarm in between studs in a building I was asked to remove. This was in the late 60s and was my first time at doing this. I wasn't sure what to expect, so I had my wife sew up all the openings in a pair of my work coveralls. I used duct tape to keep them out of my sleeves and legs. This all turned out to be totally unnecessary.

I'm not sure where all this "Bee Armor" thing came from. It seems to be some sort of beekeeping uniform that has been adopted to prove you keep bees..

The worst thing you can do to your bees is wear gloves.

I find a full suit a wonderful thing when you have a really hot hive. Otherwise it's just a way to have a really hot beekeeper. smile.gif

Michael,
I haven't found that proverbial "Hot" swarm.
I have been badly stung twice. Once it was someone else's fault, the other was mine.
The first episode occurred when I was asked if I wanted to replace supers that we had just extracted. This was part of a church sponsored bee project. I had just moved into the area and was anxious to make new friends. I told them sure, but knowing that they were working in bee armor, I asked that they at least not wear gloves when I was working with them. We arrived at the bee yard and I started to super hives (I didn't have to suit up, so I went straight to work). I had replaced supers on one hive, when a ripple of attention went through the bees I was observing. I bailed out and sought the anonymity of a bush, but not before I had been given a good dose of bee venom therapy.
