View Full Version : Permacomb and Extractors

I had an interesting and very basic question
asked of me which I cannot answer. Given that
John's Permacomb is shorter than a medium frame,
but taller than a shallow frame, how does one fit
this unique "frame" into a radial extractor?

Looking at my extractors, I'd need to fabricate
a ring with a smaller diameter than the notched
ring in which each frame sits, and somehow
attach it to the existing "cage" (the one that
spins).

How have others addressed this challenge?

I just put it in my 9 frame radial from Brushy Mtn and spin smile.gif

No modifications were necessary.

FWI, my extractor had been modified to accomodate the larger end bars on all plastic frames (non permacomb), but I don't think permacomb requires this mod.

I have used them in my Kelly 9 frame without any problems.

The PermaComb worked fine in my Mann Lake 9/18. The inner ring on mine is made for a shallow or larger and that works for deeps, mediums, shallows and PermaComb.

I didn't need to do anything special for my Brushy Mt. 9-18. Just plop them in and slowly start up until it sounds like a Lear during an engine test.
