slatted rack

I just bought a slatted rack from rossmans but it didnt say how to lay it on bottom board. one side is shallower than the other. can anyone tell me the correct way of putting it on?

Most slatted racks have a solid filled in portion that goes in the front. This is to protect the brood from drafts from the front door.

yes i know that. what i dont know is the slatted rack i have is like a bottom board. when you look at the part that goes inside the hive on side is deeper than the other. I i flip the shallow side up or the deep side up?

I'm sorry, I should have read more carefully. The deeper space goes on the bottom, the shallower space goes on the top.
